I can see how doing a blog for 31 days may become a habit. I am already thinking of things I would love to write about.
Child Advocate for Compassion. I help to take action for children living in poverty. I help find new sponsors for children who are waiting for sponsor, and volunteer at events. I love to talk to people about Compassion and the Children that I have had the pleasure to talk or write with. I have been sponsoring children with Compassion for over 10 years this past October. And I have had many that have touched my life and changed it.
As an advocate, or even just a sponsor, we get to go to different events and talk about Compassion and help find sponsors for children waiting. This past September, my son Dyllan and I volunteered at #AACC convention in Dallas, TX for Compassion.
They had a booth with lots of children who were available to be sponsored. We got to talk to lots of people who stopped at our booth. I love to share my stories of my Compassion children to encourage others to sponsor. There was this awesome two sided wall with lots of children shown.
While it would have been nice to say we got all 100% of the children sponsored, just getting one sponsored is a success. We encouraged the new sponsors to write to their children and to tell them about themselves.
My son and I will be working at another Concert on December 15th, “The Roadshow Christmas“, so I will make sure to update you on that event. If you would like to come with me to volunteer, just let me know! We get to list to great music as well. My Fourth time for this event!
