I’m happy to say that for the fourth year, I am a 2025 Island Batik Ambassador. For those unfamiliar with an Island Batik Ambassador, we are a talented group. We are creative individuals who love quilting and challenges. Each month during the year we are given a project to make and post. Some are our choice, others are to highlight a new fabric line, new thread, new cutting dies or patterns. My goal is to create projects that will inspire others to create something similar or to try new things.
Each January, we get boxes of goodies from Island Batik and their sponsors. A few weeks ago, I posted items I received in the first 1/2 of the January Shipment. Here are the items that I received in the second 1/2 of my January goodies.
These items are provided to me for free by Island Batik and their industry partners. The partners include Hobbs Batting, and Deb Tuckers Studio 180 designs. I received these items as part of my role as an Island Batik Ambassador.
Here is what I received in my second shipment of January 2025!
Hobbs Batting
80/20 Heirloom Black Batting – Queen Size
Hobbs Heirloom Premium Cotton Batting – Queen Size
Hobbs heirloom Natural Cotton Batting – Queen Size
Hobbs Tuscany Collection – 100% Wool – Queen Size – this batting is so soft. I can not wait to find the quilt that needs this Tuscany Batting.
Hobbs Simply stuffing – 100% polyester – This is a new item for us this year. I will be using this with the Funky Factory Friends stuffed toy!
Hobbs included a pamphlet with their products.
Inside the pamphlet it has samples of each type of batting. Great when you are trying to find the batting that will work with your quilt.
Deb Tucker’s – Studio 180 Designs
Each year, we are sent one of Deb Tucker’s Rulers. This year I received the Corner Beam! This ruler will be used in my February Blog Hop project. I have started using the ruler. It’s so easy to create these blocks. I do not lose the point in the corner.
Island Batik –
More fabric – 2 1/2″ Strips of Fusion. 40 different fabrics, This is part of the Winter 2024 precut collection.
Incuded was two yards of coordinating fabric.
- Dark Blue – Navy from Brilliant Blues Collection.
- Light Purple – Periwinkle from Playful Purple collection.
I was excited to receive this package so that I could start on my February Corner Beam quilt. I hope you enjoyed seeing these wonderful products.
