Day 11 – Christmas Roadshow

Well, the weekend went fast.  Saturday, I went to Garland, TX to the Roadshow Christmas Tour, presented by Compassion International.

It was hosted by Matthew West, with Matt Maher, Building 429, Plumb.  It was a great Christmas concert.

But the best part was when Kiki come on stage to talk about Compassion International and how it had changed her life. She was born poor in the Philippines, and many nights she went to bed hungry.  She talked about how Compassion was there to help her and her family.  She is now a physical therapist in Dallas, TX.   She sponsors three children with Compassion, two from her home country and one from Haiti.

Here is a video of her talking.   It was not the entire talk, but a good section, and the audience was just listening.  Her mother is in Dallas visiting, and was at the concert to hear her speak.

Several children were sponsored Saturday night, and this is a life changing experience for these children.

It is nice to meet people that the program has actually helped them and made a difference in their life.  Why not take the time to stop and pray about sponsoring a child with Compassion, it may change your life as well as the child you sponsor.
