Princess Lapbook ~ v. Spanish
For Compassion Sponsored Children
by Lisa Pickering
All those great ideas for Lapbooks had gotten me excited, and I made a Princess Lapbook in spanish for each of my four girls (Sharon & Elizabeth from Honduras, and Maria & Allison from Nicaragua). Only problem I had was keeping it down to the 1/4″ thickness. I used a couple of the mini velcro dots to keep them closed.
For the outside, I used Epson.com printables for the frame on their picture on the front (printed on photo paper), I added a little princess hat, and wand to their picture, and added “Princesa” and their name on the sides. I printed some little sayings in Spanish (hopefully they translated correctly), Like God Loves You! I am proud of you! ).
On the back, I used a sheet of scrapbook paper (got at Michaels Crafts 5/$1), to make a little prettier). I printed some pictures for the back from Disney Clips. I laminated the outside, and the printouts on the inside, to help keep them looking good.
For the inside, I got the coloring pages, and the paperdolls from the Disney website. I printed the paperdolls on photo paper that I had. This made them thicker than just using regular printer paper. I also laminated them, using contact paper. I put the girls picture on a bookmark, and printed and laminated, at the bottom I have their name and Compassion number. I got a couple of paperdolls from Walmart on clearance, to add, along with some Disney Princess stickers. I also added a small princess sticker book with stickers, that I got on clearance (love clearance).

I had so much fun, and once I figured out how I wanted to do them, it was easy to do all four. My husband thinks I am a little strange, but he believes the girls will love them.
Links to the different site I used are at the bottom after pictures. Thank you for those who helped inspire me to create these.
